Hell Let Loose Vietnam Weapons: US & NVA/VC Arsenal
Vietnam’s arsenal follows the series’ rule: weapons are tied to roles, not a loadout store. You pick a role (rifleman, machine gunner, sniper…) and get its era-accurate kit for your faction. This page tracks the confirmed roster; per-weapon stats are added as verified in-game, not guessed. Last updated: August 14, 2026.
How loadouts work
- Each of the 19 roles carries a faction-specific primary, sidearm and equipment set (roles overview).
- Role levels unlock loadout variants within that role — the series’ progression model, carried over from the WWII game.
- There is no attachment system or weapon store: the era and the role define your gun.
US arsenal (confirmed and expected)
- M14 — confirmed present (one of launch week’s most-searched weapons; the pre-M16 battle rifle of the early-war period).
- The US roster spans the era’s standards shown in official gameplay material: M16-pattern rifles, M60-class squad automatic fire, era shotguns and sidearms, with the exact per-role table being verified in-game.
NVA / VC arsenal
The communist factions field the AK-pattern and SKS-class weapons plus irregular kit the era is known for — with the VC specifically leaning on captured and improvised equipment, consistent with the game’s asymmetric design (faction differences).
Weapon table
| Faction | Role family | Confirmed weapons | Status |

| Both | Sniper/Recon | era bolt/scoped rifles | TBA |
We list only what we can verify — stats, damage models and full per-role tables land here as the community and our own play confirm them. The beginner guide covers which roles to learn first regardless of weapon details.
