Hell Let Loose Vietnam Classes & Roles: All 19 Roles Explained

Hell Let Loose: Vietnam ships with 19 specialised roles (official launch count) organised into infantry, armour, air and command structures. The role system is the series’ backbone: your role defines your weapons, equipment and your actual job in the 50-player team. Last updated: August 14, 2026.

(The full 19-role table with per-faction loadouts is being verified in-game and filled role by role — not guessed.)

Which role first?

  1. Rifleman — full kit, no squad-slot pressure, teaches the map flow. The beginner guide starts here.
  2. Medic — highest team value per skill required; jungle fights produce dense revive opportunities.
  3. Support — supplies for officer garrisons make you every squad’s favourite player.

Avoid on day one: Officer (you are the squad’s spawn point — learn the game first), helicopter pilot (practice controls before carrying six passengers: flight guide), Commander.
